Spotlight on Script Fonts: Script fonts are very popular because they each have such a distinctive personality. There are three script classifications: Calligraphic, Formal, and Casual. Calligraphic scripts are based on calligraphic writing, often resembling lettering drawn with a flat-tipped writing instrument. Formal scripts are derived from 18-th century formal writing styles, and many of the letters have "joining" strokes. Casual scripts have a friendly, informal -- sometimes handwritten -- appearance, like the charming Julietrose. |
